Artist Biography:
Behrens
was raised in Washington, D.C. and received his Bachelor's degree from
the University of Maryland. He then went on to study medical art at John
Hopkins University. He later returned to the University of Maryland to
receive his degree in painting and sculpture. Upon graduating he went to
work for a government printing office in Washington, D.C. where he
remanined for 20 years, 10 of which he served as chief arti
