ARTWORK: 16x20”
IN FRAME: 19.5x23.5”
A one of a kind framed oil painting by notable Chicagoan Virginia “Ginger” LeFevour (1932-2010). She was the wife of former Cook County Circuit Judge Richard F. LeFevour, who served six years in prison after his 1985 conviction for bribery in the federal Operation Greylord probe of judicial corruption. Long the chief judge of the Cook County traffic court, LeFevour is a principal figure in the "Greylord" scandal that engulfed a number of judges, lawyers, and policemen in Chicago. The case received widespread coverage in Chicago and the nation. The money from sales of Ginger’s paintings were mentioned several times in court. An article on the case that appeared as apart of Chicago Magazine’s 50 moments that shaped Chicago series: https:
