This matchbox is from our trip to the Italian Riviera in 1978.
The tile is absolutely beautiful. So ironic that they are on the matchboxes but in 1970's they were very popular in Europe.
The woman on the tile is reminiscent of Matisse's artwork. Even the stars look like Matisse.
This matchbox is perfect for framing. It is really quite lovely.
I am not counting out the matches but I'm pretty sure all 40 match sticks are there.
