This is a "Little Boy Blue" - A retired, very rare and discontinued Zaphir figurine.
"Little Boy Blue" are Spanish Porcelains. The shepherd boy's pose, with a lamb over his shoulders, nicely conveys the sleepy, end of the day mood spoken about in the "Little Boy Blue" nursery rhyme. The wonderful detail, color, and expression, this piece captures the excellence one has come to expect from the brand. A hard to find in the Zaphir line. He measures 9 1/2 inches tall. Dates back to 1982.
Stamped with Zaphir, made in Spain and carved.
