Large Rose Medallion Chinese Centerpiece or Fruit Bowl - Famille Rose
Unmarked on the bottom, so it should date 1850-1899. Roughness on the bottom rim, as there should be on a piece of this age. (Missionary Gramma brought it back from China decades ago.)
It has the milder shade of orange paint that is seen on older pieces.
Approx. 11.75" in diameter and 1.5" deep.
Features a center medallion with four alternating panels.
No cracks, crazing, or large chips. There are a few places of slight roughness and loss of gilt on the rim in places, as is not unusual for pieces of this age. Due to its age, I consider it to be good condition for its age.
