Wonder series of paper doll books with a history of fashion written as dated journal entries by Amanda. Written by Betty J. Mills, curator, costumes and textiles, The Museum, Texas Tech University. Illustrated by Lynette C. Ross.

Three pristine books, plus an author signed, worn and discolored copy of the first book in the series. All are 9¼ x 12¼, 10 heavy paper pages printed on one side only.

Published in 1983-84 by Texas Tech Press.

Amanda Goes West - Begins in 1938 when 14 year old Amanda leaves Tennessee to move to Texas with her family. Ends in 1843 with betrothal to Matthew.

Amandas New Life - Begins in 1843, Amandas wedding and birth of 3 children. Ends in 1862 with Matthew fighting in Civil War.

Amandas Home on the Range - Begins in 1862 with Matthew still in the war and their life after his return. Ends in 1890 with the marriage of their granddaughter.
