As shown. See all photos. Full title: “Catching Fireflies in the Garden of a Mansion.” Framed under glass. Belonged to my maternal grandparents. Probably purchased in the forties or fifties. As you can see there is staining on the unique matte. Priced to sell as-is. Hasn’t been examined out of frame, so it’s possible print isn’t impacted. If you just want the print I can remove from frame and lower shipping cost.

“Katsukawa Shunzan was an ukiyo-e artist of the late 18th century. He studied under Katsukawa Shunsho, a leading figure of the Katsukawa school, and was stylistically influenced by Torii Kiyonaga. Shunzan produced actor portraits and later turned to bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women). Although prints by Shunzan are rare and details of his life remain uncertain, his work represents the transition from actor prints of the early Katsukawa school to the graceful female images of the Kiyonaga style.”
