Handwriting inside cover is in pencil and difficult to see. Date handwritten is 1903. Copyright date is not noted in book but may be around 1880 version based on doing some research. The publisher's address has changed from the earlier version and matches with the address on the 1880's books.
Some info on condition of book - Spine is good, the cover shows signs of wear, especially around the edges. The pages are yellow and fragile with some pages edges being torn. There are a few pages that have small tears.
