Offered for sale is a vintage special edition collector’s bottle from McCormick Distilling Co. of Billy the Kid. It is one of twelve (12) special edition bourbon whiskey bottles depicting outlaws: Billy the Kid, Calamity Jane, Wild Bill Hickok, Daniel Boone, Jim Bowie, Kit Carson, Doc Holliday, David Crockett, Bat Masterson, Black Bart, Jesse James, and Wyatt Earp. It was released by McCormick, America's oldest operating distillery, between 1968 & 1987.
This vintage decanter is hand painted Americana Porcelain. It is empty now but originally contained 4/5-quart straight bourbon whiskey. The gold sticker on the back says, “McCormick Straight Bourbon Whiskey 86 proof Limited Edition 4/5 quart Distilled and Bottled by McCormick Distilling Co. Weston, Mo.”
In good condition – no cracks or chips. There is still a piece of the original red tax paper on the back. Stands 14" high, 3-3/4" wide, and 2-7/8" deep.
