All of the chess pieces are colorfully hand-painted on original carved pieces. ONE OF A KIND! The chess board case is also magnificent and ornate. This wonderful chess set will look stunning in any room and be so much fun to use to play your favorite game. This antique set is in good condition for its age and all pieces are intact. There is some expected minor aging wear and chips that adds to the historic delight of the chess set (see all photos).
Two tone colored folding wooden playing board. When opened on the opposite side reveals individual compartments and horizontal shelves for storage. Measure from 2 1/2" - 4". Board ( opened ) measures 19 1/2" x 19 1/2". No apparent markings.
